The show must go on! DC Bilingual is steadfast in our commitment to celebrate the community that makes our school special. Together, let’s re-imagine how we come together to support a strong future for DCB students with DC Bilingual in Bloom Virtual.

We invite your whole family to join, however you are most comfortable.

Day 1: May 27

At 4:30 PM, join us in Lola’s kitchen for a cooking demonstration with DCB Executive Chef Christopher Roberson.

Are you smarter than a DCB 5th greater? Test your knowledge with our daily quiz for prizes.

Where in the quarantine is DCB? Enjoy photos of your DCB community in favorite quarantine locations.

The online auction returns with curated experiences that appeal to all members of the family. The auction will run throughout the week of May 25.

Day 2: May 28

At 3:30 PM, join Head of School Daniela Anello for an engaging conversation and read-aloud with author and illustrator Lulu Delacre LIVE.

At 4:30 PM, shake off energy and stay STRONG with a family - friendly workout!

Are you ready to be Head of School? Test your knowledge of DCB history with our daily quiz for prizes.

The online auction returns with curated experiences that appeal to all members of the family. The auction will run throughout the week of May 25.

Day 3: May 29

At 4:30 PM, jam with DCB’s very own Roddy Peña during a LIVE DJ session.

Registration for DC Bilingual in Bloom Virtual is free. By registering for the celebration, we’ll keep you in-the-know of how to participate and what to expect during the event, special prizes, and how you can make a difference from the comfort of your home.

When registering, please consider a donation to extend our reach during school closure due to coronavirus. During this time, we provide our families without technology at home with the hardware their student needs to continue learning; our families with the linkages they need to fuel their children; and our staff the emotional and professional support they deserve.

Funds raised through this year’s gala, DC Bilingual in Bloom, support our school’s expansion project which will add an additional 27,000 sq-ft of space for learning, enrichment, and support services to our award-winning school.

Since our founding in 2004, DC Bilingual has grown from a small, community school in Columbia Heights into a high-performing independent charter school. DC Bilingual delivers a holistic learning experience to a diverse, high-need student body of students in pre-K through 5th grade. With school expansion, DC Bilingual will grow to serve more than 700 students from across the district.
